By focusing on job candidates’ individual goals, the CES Team creates customized action plans and offers support throughout the employment-seeking process. Meet the CES Team

Whitney Cherner, LCSW

Whitney Cherner is the Vice President of Career & Employment Services at Ruth and Norman Rales Jewish Family Services. She received her MSW from Florida Atlantic University and holds a B.A. in English from Florida State University. Prior to joining JFS, Whitney worked as a therapist with an emphasis on empowering clients throughout the process of community reintegration. Whitney approaches her work and the opportunity to support those in need as a privilege. Whitney is an avid runner, amateur triathlete, determined crossfitter, and the number one fan of her four children on and off the field.

Angelica Sandoval, MS

Angelica Sandoval is a Career Strategist for the Career & Employment Services Department at Ruth and Norman Rales Jewish Family Services. She holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Fordham University. Angelica’s experience includes working at a non-profit agency as an Employment Counselor for displaced workers affected by 9/11. In addition, she served as the Employee Assistance Program Counselor for union workers in New York City. Her greatest asset is her ability to identify solutions to problems while empowering clients to affect change in their lives. Angelica loves her work and is motivated by her desire to help people improve the quality of their own lives.

Linda Di Ciaccio

Linda Di Ciaccio is the Job Developer for the Career & Employment Services Department at Ruth and Norman Rales Jewish Family Services. She has worked in the field of employment for over 25 years by providing guidance to job seekers and employers alike. To stay abreast of hiring procedures and changes in the workplace, Linda aligns with HR departments of companies to determine their business needs, hiring goals, and recruiting specifications. She frequently attends job fairs, trade shows, and professional organization meetings to better understand the pool of candidates seeking employment. Linda is a firm believer in the Latin phrase, Labor omnia Vincit, “Work conquers all."

Jennifer Rivera

Jennifer Rivera is the Career & Employment Services Program Manager at Ruth and Norman Rales Jewish Family Services. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing while enlisted in The United States Navy. After retiring from the United States Navy, Jennifer wanted to continue working to help others. Prior to joining JFS, Jennifer lived in California where she raised her children. In Jennifer’s free time, she volunteers with many Veteran organizations that are dedicated to serving wounded soldiers and their families.

Adrienne Bryan

Adrienne Bryan is the Career & Employment Services Social Media Coordinator at Ruth and Norman Rales Jewish Family Services. Adrienne’s passion for digital storytelling and creating a meaningful customer experience has allowed her to work with many different brands across various industries. Creating content comes naturally to Adrienne as she always finds something to believe in and be inspired by. She has spent the span of her career helping brands create improved customer relationships through social media, content marketing and PR.  Adrienne has a knack for the written word and an unquenchable thirst for learning that she applies wholeheartedly to every project she tackles. When she’s not crafting unique content she is creating memories with her husband and young son.

 

CES Programs

Steps to Success Workshop Series

During a one week, boot camp style workshop series, candidates find focus, develop a personal brand, create a resume and learn interviewing skills. Once completed, candidates work with a Career Strategist to overcome barriers and become job ready.

Comeback Career

Women are known to adjust their careers and make professional compromises for family life, which often lead to gaps in their resumes. Comeback Career is a four-week program designed to help women re-enter today’s workforce with confidence.

GY6 Veterans Alliance

GY6 Veterans Alliance Helps transitioning veterans build personal confidence and reach their professional goals through job search skills training, practical tools, and translation of military to civilian skills and one-on-one coaching.

Working Towards Our Future (WTOF)

WTOF addresses the challenges that first time job seekers face in finding and maintaining employment. Program participants improve their job search skills, gain insight into what employers are really looking for, and learn how to stand out in the candidate pool.

Is your job search stressing you out? Join CES and learn how to manage your stress!

Success Groups
Meet with your fellow job candidates who are having career and employment experiences similar to yours. Discuss strategies, practice your elevator speech,
and receive feedback. This group is open to all candidates and meets every Monday morning. Set goals and start your week off right!

Vision Board Workshop
Visualization is a powerful mind exercise that helps you stay focused on your goals and gives you the confidence you need to move forward in your life. Join CES as we help you to create your own Career Vision Board.
